Dutch Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard habit (coat) 1810-1813
Iconic habit (dress coat) for the famous Dutch Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard, made of fine white wool cloth, with crimson cuffs, lapels and collar, crimson serge lining for the body and linen for sleeves and back, brass eagle buttons, yellow turnbacks cut-out cloth grenade badges (gold embroidered for the NCO, like the one shown in the pics).
All details are carefully, painstakingly replicated from the original officer's habit preserved in the Dutch Army museum of Delft. Note particularly the piping of lapels, collar and cuffs, these are without cuff-flaps, of a sort of boot-cuff style, turned-up and closed with only two buttons, as evidenced also by the "tarifs de confection" and the purchase bills of 1811 and 1812. As for the French Grenadiers, there are false vertical pockets on the tails just outlined with crimson piping hand-stitched onto the body of the coat. This is truly the most accurate, faithful, detailed and better fitting replica that you can find anywhere!
Available in standard chest sizes and various heights, or made to your own measures (fill in the measure form in the last pic above).
The vest or gilet shown underneath is NOT included, but can be purchased separately.
